TOP-TOY søger Creative Director

The past couple of years we have been gearing up for growth; implementing new ERP and IT systems and getting the organization at our head office in Vallensbæk in shape for the future.

As part of this, we want to become more self-sufficient in marketing, which involves building an Omni channel content creation team and acquiring tools & team for planning and buying media in-house.

  • Nurture a performance driven marketing culture
  • Build solid brand equity for our banners

To join us on this journey, we are looking for a passionate Creative Director to be located at our head office in Vallensbæk.

The Creative Director will generate visual concepts and content according to internal stakeholders briefs for all TOP-TOY banners (note TOYSRUS must be based upon existing CVI) across markets, channels and platforms. You will be direct manager of 4 great colleagues.

The primary responsibilities
You will be driving consumer awareness, preference, purchase, loyalty and advocacy via inspirational, cost efficient Omni-channel concepts and content that supports the overall marketing activity calendar for banners/markets.

  • Review, update and implement CVI in our three banners
  • Review, update and implement BR CVI
  • Review, interpret and implement TRU CVI
  • Review, interpret and implement BRU CVI
  • Develop the overall look and style of marketing campaigns and creative concepts and content, enabling a seamless consumer experience across all channels
  • Determine which photographs, artwork, copy text or other design elements to use
  • Review and approve designs, artwork, copy, video, photography and graphics developed by other staff members 
  • Secure internal sell in to aligned stakeholders
  • Manage content creation staff
  • Part of marketing management team
  • Concept/Content sparring partner for BR and TRU Senior Marketing Managers

Who are you?
We picture you having experience in the retail business as a Creative Director, plus 5 years or more as graphic designer, fine artist, editor, photographer or another art or creative occupation.

  • Minimum a bachelors degree in an art or design subject
  • A solid portfolio of work that demonstrates style and abilities is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of typography, image manipulation, illustration and animation
  • Broad understanding of marketing design, copy and layout will also be expected
  • Ability to generate a reliable supply of original ideas and visual concepts
  • Confidence to explain and support your thinking, both internally and externally
  • Flexible approach and willingness to adapt your ideas to the needs of clients
  • Passion for advertising and commercial art
  • Keen eye for visual details and accuracy
  • Resilience to perform under pressure
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
  • High level IT skills in the latest art and design packages
  • Good awareness of digital media and evolving online platforms
  • Innovative approach to the media and the ways in which advertising is carried
  • Confidence to organize, direct and motivate other artists/team members
  • Ability to articulate visions to copy writers and artists and oversee production
  • Fluent in English
